Be Kind to Yourself

It is times like these that I need to remind myself to practice what I teach.


I've been feeling a little bit unmotivated this week, as after an awesomely inspired and motivated week last week where I smashed through my goals, it is now Thursday, and I haven't been able to get out of first gear all week...


I forced myself to fight through healthy tiredness on Sunday night and stayed up until 3am catching up on work and literally fell asleep at my desk! (naughty Amy)


I haven't been able to get myself back into a regular sleeping pattern all week, and am feeling pretty shitty today as I had planned to have a smashing week like last week, but it hasn't turned out that way!


So I have decided that rather than sit back and beat myself up and ride the guilt bandwagon which leads to feeling even shittier and achieving even less, or pushing through the shittiness and working with an "I feel shitty" mindset which will lead to shitty, drawn out, hard work, I have decided that I am going to have a self-care afternoon with a side of sewing to lift my spirits and lift my energy!


My plan for this afternoon:

  • Jogging

  • Meditating

  • Sewing

  • Some Light Computer Work

  • Good Music and Good Food


What I remind myself of when I am feeling low that helps me to get through it feeling less crappy and to bounce back quicker is:

  • Feeling crappy is only temporary

  • I can do something about it

  • Remind myself of how far I've come

  • Be Kind To Yourself Please! You Deserve It!
